St Tropez

Less is more ... rather than overwhelming you with volumes of travel tips, here is a specific list of exclusive recommendations with Mr & Mrs Crystal's stamp of approval.

Le Caves Du Roy

A glitzy, glamorous and celebrity-rich nightclub in the hub of the renowned Hotel Byblos, Le Caves du Roy makes everyone feel famous. With a lavish mirrored interior, your best bet is to grab a private nook, order a bottle of Champagne (do they serve anything else?) and watch the playboys and botox babes flash their cash.

Nikki Beach

The swish Nikki Beach boasts an illustrious poolside beach sanctuary of baking, fine dining, first class boozing and some of the sexiest flirting you will ever witness. Billionaires arrive in their choppers, yachts or Ferraris, but the door policy is still laid-back allowing beachgoers a taste of the Nikki Beach party revelry. A cocktail on your white poolside lounge is a relaxed way to start, but as the afternoon session unwinds so too does the champagne-spraying session. There’s a reason that Nikki Beach features so prominently on YouTube … it has to be seen to be believed.

VIP Room

VIP Room entertains its loyal patrons with stylishly exuberant summer parties. With its swish interior, international DJs and sexy crowd, it is no surprise that some of the most famous faces in the world frequent this prodigious club. The walls, covered with image-projecting screens, skip to the beat, as does the rocking crowd. A night grooving away on the dance floor which revolves around the drawcard DJ is sure to be a memorable one for all those VIP’s in St Tropez dreamland.

Voile Rouge

Plan your St Tropez day at Voile Rouge… 11am sunbake on crimson coloured mattresses … 1pm refresh in electric blue ocean … 3pm drape in sophisticated beachwear and head to chic in-house restaurant … 4pm order signature cocktail served in a fish bowl … sometime thereafter, Dior bikini-clad women climb onto the tables and the scene rapidly escalates as corks pop and champagne showers the crowd of Mediterranean playboys and bronzed beautiful women. This is no fable … Voile Rouge is outrageously wild.

what we think

It may be a playground for the rich and richer but you don’t have to have a yacht to feel like a V.I.P here. Spend the days soaking up the buzzing atmosphere at one of the many fabulous beach clubs … relaxing in the sunshine on a beach lounge, relishing the perfect taste of a bottle of Provincial rose over a late lunch and dancing to the DJ’s tunes in the afternoon. Wander through the cobble-stone streets in the early evening discovering the designer boutiques and take a front seat at one of the port-side bars for an aperitif and some people-watching. The fun continues into the night with dinner eaten at midnight, followed by a stint at one of the classy nightclubs, or simply a delicious crepe from a street-side stall to accompany you while you walk back to your hotel. Try to get some rest overnight before you start all over again in the morning.
