St Tropez

Less is more ... rather than overwhelming you with volumes of travel tips, here is a specific list of exclusive recommendations with Mr & Mrs Crystal's stamp of approval.

insider tips

  • Revel in Nikki Beach’s explosive afternoon sessions.
  • Wander the stalls and bargain with the hawkers on a Saturday morning at the Place des Lices market, during the month of August.
  • Get in to the daily beach club vibe but don't forget to reserve a lounge in advance and tip the beach boy to get a front row lounge.
  • Charter a private yacht and moor it on the marina (or if not, watch and admire those who have!)
  • Book restaurants in advance - summer in St Tropez is always completely jammed!

what we think

It may be a playground for the rich and richer but you don’t have to have a yacht to feel like a V.I.P here. Spend the days soaking up the buzzing atmosphere at one of the many fabulous beach clubs … relaxing in the sunshine on a beach lounge, relishing the perfect taste of a bottle of Provincial rose over a late lunch and dancing to the DJ’s tunes in the afternoon. Wander through the cobble-stone streets in the early evening discovering the designer boutiques and take a front seat at one of the port-side bars for an aperitif and some people-watching. The fun continues into the night with dinner eaten at midnight, followed by a stint at one of the classy nightclubs, or simply a delicious crepe from a street-side stall to accompany you while you walk back to your hotel. Try to get some rest overnight before you start all over again in the morning.
